Columbia, S.C., -- The Edward Waters women's track and field team recorded a ninth-place finish at the 2025 SIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at University of South Carolina.
The Lady Tigers scored 22 total points led by top 5 finishes from several student-athletes across multiple events.
Angela Bitok notched a second-place finish in the women's 10,000m event in a time of 44:29.32, followed by Ivyn Jepkosei who placed sixth in a time of 47:24.80.
Freshman
Paris Mckinnon recorded a third-place finish in the women's high jump event with a leap of 1.55m. Abagail Watt also compiled a sixth-place finish in the women's 400m in a time 59.21.
The 4x100m relay team of Paris McKinnon, Abagail Watt,
Valerie Brown and
Nyela Sims clocked a seventh-place finish in a time 49.76.
Valerie Brown also secured a ninth-place finish in the women's long jump event with a distance of 4.98m. Bitok and Jepkosei both took home 10th and 11th place in the women's 1500m event.
Watt also tallied a 13th overall finish in the women's 100m while
Sanya Joseph added a 12th place showing in the heptathlon. Jepkosgei also clocked a 13th place in the 5000m.
The Lady Tigers will head to the UNF Last Chance Invite May 2 & 3. This final track meet allows all student-athletes the opportunity to make qualifying times and distances for the NCAA Outdoor Championships on May 22-24 in Pueblo, CO.
