Manchester, England-Fresh off of an incredible debut season in Purple & Orange, Edward Waters' sophomore Emmanuella Kone has has been selected to compete at the United Kingdom Athletics Championships, where she will attempt to qualify to represent Great Britain at the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.

The Championships are slated to take place June 29th-30th at the Manchester Regional Arena in Manchester, England, where Kone will attempt to qualify in the Women's 100m.

A transfer from Lenoir-Rhyne and a native of Cardiff, Wales, Kone certainly left her mark on the track this outdoor season. Her best finish this season was a first place finish at the Alice Coachman Invitational, where she ran a season best 11.99, setting a new school record in the event. Kone earned a third place finish in the event at the 2024 Cricket SIAC Track & Field Championships, where she ran a 12.08.
