Atlanta, Georgia-History was made for Edward Waters late Thursday evening concluding the first day of the 2024 SIAC Track & Field Championships at Edwin Moses Track at B. T. Harvey Stadium on the campus of Morehouse College. True freshman Angela Bitok earned the first SIAC individual championship for an Edward Waters Track & Field student-athlete in program history, claiming first place in the Women's 10000m.

The freshman from Nairobi, Kenya broke her own school record that she set earlier this season, crossing the finish line in a time of 42:43.85 to earn the title, and 10 team points for Edward Waters.
