Torry Jones was announced as the SIAC Baseball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after his outstanding performances for the Tigers in three game home sweep over LeMoyne-Owen over the weekend.
Jones dominated at the plate in the Tigers 3-0 series victory over LeMoyne-Owen. The Preseason SIAC Second-Team selection drove in six runs on three hits to lead Edward Waters past LOC, 13-3 in the opening game of their Saturday doubleheader. Jones hit a home run to left field in the first scoring three. He also hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth scoring one, singled in the fifth scoring one, and doubled in the seventh scoring one.

Torry Jones drove in seven runs on three hits to lead Edward Waters past LeMoyne-Owen, 30-6 on Saturday evening. Jones hit a grand slam to center field in the second inning, scoring four runs, and doubled in the sixth inning, scoring three.
Jones finished with seven hits, including four doubles, 15 RBIs, nine runs scored and two home runs, bringing his home run total to six on the season.
Jones currently leads the NCAA DII with 27 RBI and sits in 4th with six home runs. He leads the SIAC in both categories as well. Jones is also tied for first in the conference with 19 hits and five doubles while being second in the league with 16 runs scored. He also has a collected 42 total bases while batting .487, slugging 1.077 with a .577 on-base percentage and three stolen bases.
