Atlanta, Ga. – Edward Waters University volleyball standout Autumn James has been named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Setter of the Week, following a breakout performance that helped guide the Lady Tigers to a 3–1 record over four matches last week.
In her first season transitioning to the setter position, James quickly became the engine of Edward Waters offense. The sophomore playmaker delivered 129 assists, 24 digs, and seven aces across the four-match stretch, showcasing exceptional poise, precision, and leadership on the court.
Her best performance came in the Lady Tigers' victory over Albany State, where James recorded an impressive 32-assist, 10-dig double-double, helping fuel the EWU attack and maintain their winning momentum in conference play.
James' steady hand and court vision have been pivotal in the Lady Tigers' recent success, as Edward Waters continues to surge within SIAC competition. Her ability to control the tempo, distribute the ball effectively, and contribute defensively has solidified her as one of the conference's most versatile and impactful players.
This recognition marks another milestone in what a breakout campaign for James has been, whose consistency and adaptability continue to elevate the Lady Tigers' performance week after week.
