ATLANTA, Ga. – Edward Waters University sophomore setter Autumn James has been named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Setter of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
James played a pivotal role in leading the Lady Tigers to a 2-0 week with victories over Clark Atlanta and Savannah State, extending EWU's winning streak to five straight matches. The Gainesville, Fla., native continued her strong command of the Lady Tigers' offensive system, recording a combined 67 assists, along with four digs, three kills, and two service aces across the two victories.
Her consistency has been a driving force behind Edward Waters' recent success, as James has now posted 30 or more assists in nine of the last ten matches. She currently ranks second in the SIAC with 661 total assists this season.
Under her direction, the Lady Tigers' offense has found its rhythm, won 15 consecutive sets and secured five consecutive 3-0 victories.
James and the Lady Tigers will conclude the 2025 regular season with Senior Day on Thursday, November 13, when they host Fort Valley State at 6:00 p.m. inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex.
