Atlanta, GA., — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced its SIAC Runners of the Week on Tuesday, September 24, honoring student-athletes for their stellar performances in cross country races last weekend. Edward Waters' freshman Ian Kimutai was voted as SIAC Men's Runner of the Week.

Kimutai placed first overall in the at the Emery-Riddle Cross Country Challenge on Saturday September 21st. Kimutai finished the ERAU Cross Country Course in a time of 26:09.1, at least seven second ahead of the second place runner. 

For Kimurtai, a native of Eldoret, Kenya, it was his first collegiate race as he helped the Tigers finish 11th out of 12 total teams.
