Macon, GA., -- The Edward Waters Men's cross country team racked up an eighth place finish at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Cross Country Championships Wednesday, October 23 at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course in Macon, Georgia.
EWU were led by a 24
th place finish from freshman runner Elvis Kimutai who ran the 8K course in a time of 29:22.85. Samuel Vessat compiled a top-40 finish with a time of 31:15.02, good for 33
rd place respectfully.
Two-time SIAC Men's Runner of the Week Ian Kimutai injured his ankle during the race and clocked a 58
th place finish just behind Jahmier Jackson and just ahead of Larry Degreffread, Amari Mckinnon, Anthony Glover, and Maquavion Parks.
Edward Waters will return to the course on November 9 for the NCAA South Regional Championships in Huntsville, AL at John Hunt Park.
