Cabrera In Training With Dominican Republic Women's Senior National Team

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-History has been made for the Edward Waters women's soccer as a program that is just four years old has its first representative to a senior national team. Junior forward Dahien Cabrera has been selected and is currently in training with the Dominican Republic Women's Senior National Team as they are in qualification rounds for the 2024 Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Women's Gold Cup.

Cabrera has been the focal point of a lethal Edward Waters offensive attack throughout the 2023 season. She leads the team in goals (12), Points (50), Minutes Played (984), Shots (50), and Shots On Goal (29). Cabrera is also tied for fifth nationally in goals amongst all NCAA Division II women's soccer programs.

Cabrera is the lone representative from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and NCAA Division II program on the Dominican Republic roster.

Las Quisqueyanas are in Group C of League B of qualifications and at present have three points in the group. The squad will travel to face Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday, October 27th at 3:00pm, then will host the same squad on Tuesday, October 31st at 7:00pm in Santo Domingo.
