Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-The EWC women's track & field team headed to the "Palmetto State" to take part in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge hosted by Coastal Carolina University. Despite a 14th place team finish, Edward Waters did have some standout performances.
On the track, the 4x800m relay team of Sabrina Sclater, Tiara Taylor, Jasmine Taylor, and Kamiyah Robinson finished fifth with a time of 12:47.11.
Freshman Caytlin Willis earned a 14th place finish in the Women's 800m at 3:35.71.
In the Women's 400m, Tiara Taylor came in 18th (1:03.68) and Jasmine Taylor finished 26th at 1:13.49.
Sclater took home a 17th place finish in the Women's 200m at 27.75s, while in the 100m, she finished 23rd at 13.36s. Jasmine Taylor came in 31st in the 100m at 14.07s.
In the field events, Tiara Taylor finished fourth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.72m.
In the Long Jump, Tiara Taylor placed 12th at 4.86m, while Laelani Nesmith finished 17th at 4.33m.
Robinson finished 16th in the Shot Put with a toss of 7.32m, while also taking home a ninth place finish in the Javelin at 26.38m.
The Lady Tigers will head over to the capital city of Florida to take part in the FAMU Relays next Saturday, March 27th in Tallahassee.
