JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The national spotlight is shining bright on Edward Waters University this fall, as the Tiger Football Program is slated to appear in six nationally televised matchups during the 2025 season. With four games set for ESPN+ and two additional contests broadcast on HBCU GO, the stage is set for unprecedented exposure—regionally, nationally, and globally.
The Tigers will kick off the 2025 campaign in front of a national audience on Saturday, August 30, when they travel to historic rival Savannah State for a highly anticipated season opener broadcast live on ESPN+.
But the action doesn't stop there.
Nathaniel Glover Community Field & Stadium will be buzzing with excitement as EWU hosts three ESPN+ home matchups, beginning with a September 6 showdown against Miles College. The following week, all eyes will be on Jacksonville for the first annual Unity Classic on Sept. 13, featuring a powerhouse clash with Virginia Union. Then, on November 1, the Tigers will look to defend their home turf in front of a homecoming crowd against Central State, again in the national spotlight.
In addition to the ESPN+ slate, the Tigers will also hit the national airwaves on HBCU GO, traveling to Bethune-Cookman on September 20, followed by a key Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) contest on the road at Clark Atlanta on October 25.
The 2025 televised schedule will provide unparalleled visibility for the Tigers, helping to elevate the program's profile on a national scale while also offering student-athletes a chance to showcase their talents to a worldwide audience.
