Jacksonville, Fla. — Edward Waters University standout Kieren Jackson has been selected as a 2025 BOXTOROW All-American, earning national recognition as one of the top return specialists in HBCU football. BOXTOROW has honored the nation's best HBCU football players since 2007, with its All-America team determined by a panel of media members who cover HBCU athletics across the country.
Jackson, a junior wide receiver and return specialist from Jacksonville, Florida, delivered a career year for the Tigers during the 2025 season. He electrified games on a weekly basis, finishing the year with 558 kick return yards and three touchdowns, consistently shifting momentum with his explosive play making ability.
Whenever the Tigers searched for a spark, Jackson answered—using elite speed, vision, and field awareness to weave through coverage, break free from defenders, and find the end zone. His impact grew so pronounced that opposing teams began to adjust their special teams' strategies, choosing to kick away from him entirely to avoid the threat he posed.
In addition to his national recognition, Jackson also earned SIAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors this season. While his return production grabbed the headlines, he also contributed offensively at wide receiver, recording eight receptions for 94 yards and one touchdown.
Jackson's All-American honor cements him as one of the premier specialists in the country and highlights his tremendous value to the Edward Waters football program.
