Atlanta, GA., -- The Edward Waters men's basketball team was selected to finish fifth the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Tigers will be led by second year head coach
Cabral Huff. Under Huff, the Tigers went 12-18 overall with a 9-12 mark in the SIAC action.
The 2024-25 team will return 13 players from last season's team, including eight of the top 10 scorers from last year. Sophomores
Jeremiah Kwarteng and
Amari Floyd and seniors
Kristian Ford,
RJ Noord all look top build on their contributions from last year. Newcomers Prince Davies, III,
Joseph Womack, Jr., and
Cyrus Huggard-Noel all look to add strong contributions to the Tigers offensive and defensive arsenals.
EWU played a tough preseason exhibition schedule with games against a very tough Daytona Beach State College squad as well as a road meeting against USF.
Edward Waters will open the 2024-25 regular season in the NCAA DII South Regional Exempt Classic where they will face Florida Tech on Friday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. before concluding the weekend with a contest against the host institution Rollins College on Saturday November 9. All games will be held at Warden Arena in Winter Park, FL.
