Macon, GA – The Edward Waters Women's cross country team finished sixth in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Cross Country Championships on Wednesday, October 23 at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course in Macon, Georgia.
The Lady Tigers were propelled by a fourth place overall finish from freshman runner
Angela Bitok. Bitok, a native of Kenya, completed the 5K course in a time of 19:57.98. Fellow freshman Kenyan
Ivyn Jepkosgei recorded a 26
th place finish in a time of 2:29.85.
Paris Mckinnon and
De'nayizsa Fance both compiled top-40 finishes, placing 33
rd and 37
th respectfully.
Sammya Brown,
Abigail Watt,
Tranasia Missick and
Valerie Brown rounded out the final order for Edward Waters.
The Edward Waters Lady Tigers will return to action November 9 for the NCAA South Regional Championships in Huntsville, AL at John Hunt Park.
