Tallahassee, Florida-Three Edward Waters women's cross country runners were able to break the 28:00 mark on their seasons at the FSU Cross Country Invitational hosted by Florida State University. The event took place at the Apalachee Regional Park, where the 2026 World Cross Country Championships will also be held.
Sophomore
Sammya Brown (27:18.9) and Junior
Abnelle Jean Louis (27:24.6) were each able to set new season best marks this season, while freshman
Tranasia Missick also crossed the finish line sub 28:00 at
27:19.8. Freshman De'nayizsa Fance finished at 30:30.3, junior
Briana Morris turned in a time of 30:31.6, and freshman
Makiah Lawrence crossed the line at 31:41.5.
The Lady Tigers will return to action on Friday, October 6th as they will take part in the Cedric Walker HBCU Cross Country Invitational in Cary, North Carolina.
