Atlanta, Georgia-On Monday afternoon, the SIAC released its softball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards. Edward Waters' Jodasea Peterson was selected as the SIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for Week 10 of the season.

The junior transfer has made the most of her first year at Edward Waters, being a major catalyst to the squad's success this season. The Jacksonville native had a fantastic start to the Lady Tigers recent three-game series against Clark Atlanta. Peterson turned in a dominant performance in Game One of the series on Saturday with a complete game, 11 strikeout outing in EWU's 4-1 victory over CAU.

Overall this season, Peterson has appeared in 18 contests, has a 13-4 record with one save to her credit, leads the team with 76 strikeouts, and a 1.32 earned run average.
