Jacksonville, Fla. – Fourteen members of the 2025 Edward Waters University softball program have been recognized on the prestigious SIAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team, which honors student-athletes who demonstrated excellence both on the field and in the classroom by earning a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher during the 2024–25 academic year.
Among the standout honorees are Aisha Joy Duncan, Jodee Matos, and Victoria Miterko, who were named to the SIAC All-Academic Team, awarded to student-athletes with the highest cumulative GPAs in their respective sports across the conference.
Joining them on the Commissioner's All-Academic Team are:
Kaylah Newman, Calyn Rounsaville, Riley Kapparis, Savannah LePain, Dazha Durand, Keivana Durand, Miah Jordan, Hailey Vela, Kylah Gardner, Olivia Friedel, and Laura Scott — each of whom made their mark academically while helping elevate the Lady Tigers' performance throughout the season.
"This recognition is a testament to the discipline, work ethic, and resilience of our student-athletes," said EWU Head Softball Coach Mike Ellison. "Balancing academics and athletics at a high level is no small feat, and these young women continue to raise the standard for what it means to be a true student-athlete at Edward Waters."
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) presents the Commissioner's All-Academic honors annually to celebrate its most academically distinguished student-athletes and reinforce the importance of academic achievement within collegiate athletics.
Edward Waters softball continues to embody a culture of excellence, with this latest recognition highlighting the academic commitment and Tiger Pride carried by its student-athletes both on and off the field.
