Women's Indoor Track and Field

Women's Indoor Track & Field Makes Season Debut

Columbia, South Carolina-The Edward Waters Women's Indoor Track & Field Team made history on Saturday, competing in the program's inaugural event at the Gamecock Opener, hosted by the University of South Carolina.

Highlights of the day for the Lady Tigers were 12th place finishes in the Women's 800m for Caytlin Willis (4:00.85) and in the Women's Long Jump which say Tiara Taylor make it to the finals and hitting a mark of 4.37m (14' 4").

Akyma David finished 25th in the Women's 60m (9.40), while three Lady Tigers competed in the Women's 200m. Tiara Taylor led the Purple & Orange, finishing 21st (29.46), Jasmine Taylor was one spot behind in 22nd (30.65), and David crossed the line in 23rd place (31.93).

The Lady Tigers will head to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the KMS Invitational on Sunday, January 31st.
