Tuskegee, AL., -- The Edward Waters baseball team picked up a critical 3-0 road series sweep over Tuskegee after securing a dominating 17-2 win in the series finale on Saturday, March 29.
EWU got on the board in the top of the first inning after
Hugo Schoening singled to center field,
Jordan Smith walked,
Tyler Smith was struck by a pitch,
Luis Nunez grounded into a fielder's choice, and
Caden Hutchinson walked, each scoring one run.

Jordan Smith extended the EWU lead to 6-0 in the top of the second inning.

The Tigers scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the third inning.
Chase Morris tripled, scoring one run,
Torry Jones tripled, scoring two runs,
Misael Ramos singled, scoring one run,
Jordan Smith doubled, scoring one run, and
Tyler Smith grounded out, scoring two runs.

Alexander Davila earned the win for EWU. The hurler gave up five hits and two runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking three while improving to 7-1 on the season.
Cameron Chastain pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Edward Waters in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit, striking out one and walking none.

The Tigers amassed 10 hits in the game.
Tyler Smith led EWU with six runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The third baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Jones and
Tyler Smith each collected two hits for EWU.
Jordan Smith led EWU with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game.
