Daytona Beach, FL., -- Edward Waters University Tigers couldn't keep up with Embry-Riddle University and fell 9-2 on Tuesday.
Embry-Riddle opened the scoring in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles. The Eagles first got on the board when Matthew Coker singled, scoring one run.
ERU added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Collin Mastromauro hit a sacrifice fly, and #40 singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Tristan Harley earned the win for Embry-Riddle. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none.
Cason Shurling took the loss for Edward Waters. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering three runs on four hits, striking out two and walking one.
Dannon Smith went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Edward Waters University Tigers in hits.
Misael Ramos and Smith each drove in one run for the Tigers. Edward Waters University Tigers turned one double play in the game.
