Atlanta, Ga., -- Edward Waters guard Prince Davies III has been selected as the SIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The 6'6 native of Atlanta, Georgia and transfer from Texas A&M Commerce led Edward Waters to a 1-1 record last week. Davies had 19 points and five rebounds in a 75-73 home victory over Bendict on February 10th. He then followed that up with a season high 30 points, five rebounds, three assist effort in a road loss to Clark Atlanta on February 15th.

Davies leads the Tigers this season, averaging 15.8 points per game in 20 appearances. He is second in the SIAC scoring 19.0 points per game in conference action. He is also connecting on 46.2% of his shots from the floor, 41.4% from three-point range, and is an 82.8% free throw shooter.

For the week, he averaged 24.5 points per game on 57.6% shooting from the field and 53.3% from 3-point range. He also shot 11-for-13 (84.6%) from the free-throw line.
