Corey Miller Returns To EWU As WBB Assistant Coach

Jacksonville, Florida-The Edward Waters women's basketball program and head coach Charmaine Wilson have announced the hiring of Corey Miller as an assistant coach for the program.

Miller boasts a wide-range of basketball coaching experience as an assistant and head coach at various levels, including prep, collegiate, and semi-professional levels.

Miller is no stranger to EWU as he is set for his second stint as an assistant. He served a volunteer assistant coach for the Lady Tigers for three seasons from 2013-2016, where he was tasked with being the offensive coordinator, game planning, and player development. During that time, Miller helped lead EWU to a 56-35 record and three consecutive seasons of +.500 basketball. 

Prior to Edward Waters, Miller served as head boys basketball coach at Fort Meade Middle-Senior High School,  where he guided the program to the FHSAA State Playoffs for four of the five seasons he was there. Miller also named the FHSAA Class 2A District 3 Coach of the Year in 1999.

As a native of Fort Meade, FL, Miller graduated in 1997 from Webber College (now Webber International University) in Babson Park, FL with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Also while at Webber, Miller was a three starter as point guard on the men's basketball team, leading the conference in assists and winning the conference championship in his freshman year. In 2004, Miller earned his Master of Art Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.

Miller is married to his wife Tymesia Miller which includes three children (Josh, Alvin and Ebony) and four grandchildren (Taylen, Dakota, Genelle, and King).
