PREVIEWING EDWARD WATERS:
LAST TIME OUT: The EWU Football Program captured their signature and program defining victory in their last action, upsetting Tuskegee 41-38 in Alabama for their homecoming. The victory gave TU their first conference loss of the season, while extending EWU's win streak to four and keeping their own hopes for an SIAC Championship Game berth alive. Trailing 38-35 with 25 seconds left, the Tigers drove down to the Tuskegee 46-yd line and with two seconds remaining, Jyron Russell found Arsiah McCorker on a Hail Mary pass for a walk-off touchdown as time expired.

TO THE VICTOR GO THE SPOILS: With the monumental victory last week, EWU players were given several awards. Jyron Russell was selected as the BOXTOROW National Player of the Week, while Defensive End Jaren Wilson and Wide Receiver Nathan Rembert won SIAC Defensive Player and Newcomer of the Week respectively. Russell finished 17-31 passing for 341 yards, and 1 TD. Wilson tallied six tackles, including two TFLs, two sacks, and a forced fumble that set up EWU's first TD. Rembert led EWU with 123 yards on four catches and a TD.

DEFENSE TAKING SHAPE: Coming into last week's game at Tuskegee, the EWU Defense was -2 in turnover ratio on the season. Following the contest, Edward Waters was able to be on the plus side of the ledger at +2. The Tiger defense forced a season high five turnovers last week including three fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

Quinn Gray is in his first season at the helm of the Albany State Football Program. Gray was a former QB for the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he signed as a free agent with the team in 2002 and played for six seasons. Gray was also a high school head coach in the area,
