JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the second consecutive year, Edward Waters University Head Women's Basketball Coach Eric Jackson, Jr. has been selected to participate in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) Fall Clinic for women's basketball. This year's clinic is set for October 2–4 at the Hilton Garden Inn in the Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Coach Jackson will serve as one of the featured presenters, leading a session on "Ball Screen Continuity Offense", a topic designed to share advanced offensive strategies and continuity concepts with high school and collegiate coaches from across the state. Known for his basketball knowledge and player development expertise, Jackson's return to the clinic underscores his growing influence and reputation within the coaching community.
The Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) is a statewide professional organization dedicated to the advancement of high school and collegiate athletics in Florida. Its mission is to support coaches through education, networking, and professional development opportunities while also promoting high standards of sportsmanship and competition.
Each year, FACA hosts a series of clinics and events that bring together coaches from multiple sports to learn from one another, engage in training sessions, and collaborate on best practices for student-athlete success. The organization also works closely with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and other governing bodies to advocate for coaches and student-athletes statewide.
Jackson's invitation to present at the clinic highlights the continued growth of the Edward Waters women's basketball program under his leadership. Beyond wins and losses, his focus on teaching fundamentals, developing strategy, and investing in the growth of players and coaches alike has earned him recognition beyond the HBCU and SIAC communities.
"It's an honor to return to the FACA Fall Clinic and share knowledge with fellow coaches," Jackson said. "These events are not only about learning and teaching, but also about strengthening the coaching community as a whole. I'm proud to represent Edward Waters University on this stage."
The Lady Tigers, led by Jackson, are preparing for the 2025–26 season with a strong sense of momentum. His continued involvement with professional organizations like FACA reflects the program's commitment to both athletic and academic excellence, and to raising the profile of Edward Waters women's basketball across Florida and beyond.
