Jacksonville, Fla. —The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has released its 2025-26 Preseason Basketball Polls, and the Edward Waters University women's basketball team has been picked to finish second in the SIAC East Division.
Now in his second season at the helm, Head Coach Eric Jackson, Jr., will lead a Lady Tigers program loaded with talent, depth, and fresh faces ready to make an impact. EWU's roster is highlighted by a strong group of transfers, including Shcira Fowles, Imani Harris, Nia Brown, and Denver Arnold, who are expected to provide an immediate spark on both ends of the floor.
With a mix of experience and new energy, the Lady Tigers look poised to build upon their foundation and contend for the division crown while making a push in the SIAC Tournament.
"Being picked second shows the respect our program is earning, but we know preseason rankings don't define the season," Jackson said. "Our focus is on getting better every day and putting a product on the floor that Tiger Nation can be proud of."
The Lady Tigers open their 2025-26 season with exhibition contest against University of Central Florida on October 28th before action before making their regular season debut in November 14th against Florida Tech.
