Jacksonville, FL., -- The Edward Waters baseball team easily dispatched Thomas University Nighthawks, 10-0.
EWU got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after
Misael Ramos doubled to center field,
Efrain Pantoja doubled down the left field line,
Caden Hutchinson grounded out, and
Tyler Smith walked, each scoring one run.
A ground out by
Torry Jones  extended the EWU lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Jones then hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth for the EWU.
Elvin Polanco earned the win for EWU. The hurler gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Andres Carracciolo,
Josh Taylor, and Liam Prepetit each came on in relief for EWU and shutdown Thomas University Nighthawks.
Jones and Hutchinson each drove in two runs for EWU. EWU had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game.
Hugo Schoening and Smith led the team with two walks each.
