Jacksonville, FL., --The Edward Waters University Lady Tigers dominated Albany State University with a convincing 70-47 victory on February 24, 2025, at the Adams-Jenkins Community Sports & Music Complex in Jacksonville, Florida. This win improved the Lady Tigers' record to 16-8 overall and 12-7 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
Key performances propelled Edward Waters to their commanding win over the Golden Rams.
Tatum Hayes showcased her sharpshooting skills, leading all scorers with 16 points, including four made three-pointers.
Leah Perry contributed significantly with 12 points and 2 rebounds, providing a solid inside presence for the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Tigers' strong offensive output, combined with their stifling defense, proved too much for the visiting Albany State Golden Rams. This victory avenged Edward Waters' earlier loss to Albany State on January 13th, where they fell 57-50 on the road.
With this win, Edward Waters has positioned themselves well for a strong finish in the SIAC standings. The Lady Tigers will look to carry this momentum into their final regular-season game against Fort Valley State on February 26, 2026 before heading into the Cricket Wireless SIAC Basketball Tournament starting March 1.
