Jacksonville, FL., -- The Edward Waters women's basketball team wrapped up their regular season with a 52-39 home victory over Fort Valley State Wednesday night inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex.
With the win, the Lady Tigers finish the 2024-25 regular season 16-8 over with a 12-7 mark in SIAC action. EWU also sit at 9-2 at home and end the season on a three game win streak.
Simona Henshaw led the Lady Tigers with 10 points, seven rebounds, four blocks and four steals. Tatum Hayes added nine points, five rebounds and two steals.
Edward Waters scored 13 points on 22 forced turnover from the Wildcats. EWU also scored 23 bench points and 13 fast break points.
Nekaya Williams finished with nine points, three assists and two rebounds and Taniah Bowers chipped in four points, five assists and five rebounds.
The Lady Tigers will head into the 2025 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Conference Tournament as the third seed in the East Division and will host Spring Hill College in the opening round match up. The game will be held inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex on March 1, with tip off scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
