Jacksonville, FL-- The Edward Waters University Tigers suffered a heartbreaking 96-89 overtime loss to the Albany State University Golden Rams on February 24, 2025, at the Adams-Jenkins Community Sports & Music Complex in Jacksonville, Florida. This intense SIAC matchup showcased impressive performances from both teams, with the Tigers ultimately falling short in the extra period.
Despite the loss, several Edward Waters players had standout performances.
Prince Davies III led the Tigers with a stellar all-around game, pouring in 25 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists.
Myles Hosten recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, providing a strong presence in the paint.
D'Shun Edwards contributed 14 points and 8 rebounds, including the crucial game-tying shot that forced overtime.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading leads throughout regulation. D'Shun's clutch basket at the end of the fourth quarter sent the crowd into a frenzy and gave the Tigers new life heading into overtime.
