Atlanta, GA., -- The Edward Waters women's basketball team dropped a close SIAC East Division contest on the road against the Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers, 63-57 inside L.S. Epps Gym in Atlanta Saturday night.
The game was filled with great energy as both teams put forth relentless intensity. With the loss, the Lady Tigers move to 13-8 on the season overall and 9-7 in SIAC play.
Mia Morel led the way for the Lady Tigers scoring 23 points, three assists, two rebounds and two blocks. Morel shot 6-for-14 from the field with four made three-pointers while sinking all seven of her shots from the charity stripe.
Taniah Bowers finished with seven points while grabbing a game high 13 rebounds.
Imani Harris added nine rebounds for Edward Waters to go with her three points.
Blesseth Dillingham chipped in eight points and two steals off the bench while
Simona Henshaw notched six points, five rebounds and two blocks.
The Lady Tigers will return to the court for a Senior Day contest against the visiting Savannah State Tigers on Saturday, February 22 with tipoff at 5:30pm inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex.
