Jacksonville, FL., -- The Edward Waters women's basketball team pulled off an amazing double digit comeback in their 65-63 home win over Benedict Monday night inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex. 

With the Lady Tigers leading 64-63 late in the fourth quarter, Taniah Bowers stepped to the line and knocked down one of her two foul shots. Bowers also stepped to line in the previous possession to give EWU a one point advantage. Bowers finished the game with eight points, three rebounds and a game high five assists. 

Edward Waters improves to 6-2 in The Jungle with a 13-7 mark overall. The Lady Tigers boast a 9-6 record in SIAC play and currently sit third in the East Division. 

Imani Harris scored a game high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Harris shot 8-for-13 from the field and the senior's presence inside was key in the Lady Tigers comeback victory. 

EWU's defensive pressure in the second half led to multiple fastbreak opportunities as they racked up seven steals and five blocks as a team. They were able to hold the visiting Tigers to just four made field goals in the fourth quarter. A quarter where EWU outscored Benedict by 10. 

Mia Morel poured in 11 points with a team best nine boards while going a perfect 5-fo-5 from the charity stripe. Nekaya Williams added nine points while Simona Henshaw and Blesseth Dillingham chipped in six points each. 

The Lady Tigers will hit the road to Atlanta for a rematch against Clark Atlanta on Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 pm inside L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
