Jacksonville, FL., -- The Edward Waters women's basketball dropped a close 68-64 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) East Division match up to the visiting Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers Monday evening, inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex. 

With freezing cold temperature outside, the Lady Tigers were unable to shake a cold shooting night from the field. Overall, Edward Waters shot just 27.7% (18-for-65) from the floor for the ball game while Clark Atlanta nearly 43% (24-for-56) during the contest.

With the loss, EWU moves to 9-5 overall on the season with a 5-5 mark in conference action. 

Despite the horrid shooting night from EWU, two Lady Tigers contributed great numbers. Mia Morel tied a game-high with 21 points to go along with seven rebounds and three steals. Senior center Imani Harris notched 19 points with eight rebounds. 

Defensively, the Lady Tigers were able to force 25 turnovers from the Lady Panthers that they converted into 19 points. Taniah Bowers collected a career high six steals to go with five points and three rebounds. E'laijha Brown also compiled three steals with nine points, three rebounds and two assists. Shuntorri Rodgers tallied four steals while knocking down one three pointer.

Edward Waters will have a few days off before returning to SIAC play with a two-game road trip to take on the Benedict College Lady Tigers on Saturday, January 25th before wrapping up their road trek with a Monday, January 27th visit to play the Allen University Yellow Jackets.
