Jacksonville, FL., --After a disappointing road loss at Benedict last Thursday, Edward Waters will look to rebound in their next action as the Purple & Orange welcome the Tuskegee Golden Tigers in their home opener on Sunday at Glover Community Field & Stadium.

PREVIEWING EDWARD WATERS
The Edward Waters Tigers  are 1-3 so far on the season after losing a close contest last Thursday against Benedict College 31-28. 

Offensively the Tigers are led by Junior quarterback Keith Moore II, who has thrown for 315 total yards one the season with three touchdowns. Moore has also added 95 yards the ground to go along with two touchdowns. Brady Tillman leads the Tigers backfield with 214 rushing yard, good for seventh in the SIAC. Gregory Mango is not far behind currently sitting ninth in the conference with 176 total rushing yards. The Tigers are currently third in rushing offence in the conference. Preseason All-American Johnny Jones leads the EWU receiving corps with 104 yards so far on the season. Fatoma Paulk has tallied 94 yards through the air to go with his one receiving touchdown. Deven Thompson is averaging 17 yards per catch to lead Edward Waters. He has 85 total yards so far this season. 

Edward Waters is currently ranked second in the SIAC in passing defense led by two interceptions apiece from sophomore Stephan French and senior De'Angelo Sapp. French is also tied for the team lead in total tackles with senior Widmyer Garçon with 21 each. Jonathan Nesbit has accumulated 20 total tackles as well for the Tigers.  

PREVIEWING TUSKEGEE
The Tuskegee Golden Tigers come into this SIAC matchup with a 0-3 overall record and an 0-1 mark in conference play after a 20-16 home loss to Savannah State. 

Offensive the Golden Tigers have two effective passers as Raequan Beal and Christopher Robinson has both thrown for 361 and 350 yards respectively on the season. Beal has connected for two touchdowns as Robinson has been the better runner with 84 yards rushing. Overall in ground yards Johnny Morris leads Tuskegee with 90 yards and three touchdowns. Reggie Brigman is tops on the Golden Tigers with 197 yards receiving followed by 142 receiving yards from Gabriel Garmon. Tuskegee ranked second in the conference in passing offense. 

Defensively, Tuskegee is led by Rossie Grimes who is currently fourth in the SIAC with 25 total tackles. Kaquan Kimber is second on the squad with 20 total tackles. Cameron Reynolds has recorded the Golden Tigers lone interception of the season. 

NEXT GAME:
The Edward Waters Tigers will return home next week as the Fort Valley State Wildcats pay a visit to Nathaniel Glover Field and Stadium for an SIAC match. The game will take place October 5 at 4:00 pm.
