Atlanta, GA., -- The Edward Waters women's basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Preseason Coaches Poll.
The Lady Tigers will be led by first year head coach Eric Jackson, Jr, who in his seven seasons at Rust College, compiled a 148-43 record. Jackson, Jr., also led Rust to four straight Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Regular Season Championships, three straight GCAC Tournament Titles, including the 2023-24 conference title, and four consecutive appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Tournament. He received four GCAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year accolades and is the all-time leader in victories in the history of Rust College Women's Basketball.
The 2024-25 Lady Tigers will look different this season with only three returners from last season's squad. Returning Seniors

EWU played well against UCF and Jacksonville University in preseason exhibitions contests.
Edward Waters will tip-off the 2024-25 regular season in the SIAC/CIAA Challenge where they will take on host institution Johnson C. Smith on Saturday afternoon November 9 at 4:00 p.m. before squaring off against Elizabeth City State on Sunday afternoon November 10 at 2:00 p.m. All games will be held at Brayboy Gymnasium in Charlotte, N.C.
