JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For the second consecutive year, Edward Waters University Head Women's Basketball Coach Eric Jackson, Jr. has been selected to participate in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) Fall Clinic for women's basketball. This year's clinic will take place Thursday, October 1, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Jackson will once again serve as one of the featured presenters, leading a session on "Ball Screen Continuity Offense." The presentation will focus on offensive strategies and continuity concepts for coaches in attendance. Known for his basketball knowledge and emphasis on player development, Jackson's return to the clinic reflects his continued presence within the Florida coaching community.
The Florida Athletic Coaches Association is a statewide professional organization dedicated to the advancement of athletics in Florida. The organization supports coaches through education, networking and professional development opportunities while promoting high standards of sportsmanship and competition.
Throughout the year, FACA hosts clinics and events that provide coaches with opportunities to learn from one another, participate in educational sessions and exchange best practices designed to enhance the student-athlete experience.
Jackson's invitation to return as a presenter comes after a historic 2025-26 season for Edward Waters Women's Basketball. Under his leadership, the Lady Tigers captured the program's first SIAC East Division Championship, finished 21-3 in conference play and earned the program's first NCAA Division II postseason appearance.
Edward Waters also reached the national spotlight during the campaign, earning its first NCAA Division II Top 25 ranking since joining the division while putting together a program-record 14-game winning streak.
"It's an honor to return to the FACA Fall Clinic and share knowledge with fellow coaches," Jackson said. "These events are not only about learning and teaching, but also about strengthening the coaching community as a whole. I'm proud to represent Edward Waters University on this stage."
Jackson's appearance at the clinic comes as the Lady Tigers prepare for the 2026-27 season with significant momentum. Edward Waters was recently selected to finish second overall in the 2026-27 SIAC Predicted Order of Finish, while senior guard Tan Brown earned Preseason First-Team All-SIAC honors.
With another season approaching, Jackson's continued involvement with organizations such as FACA provides an opportunity to represent Edward Waters beyond the SIAC while exchanging ideas with coaches from throughout the state of Florida.
