Jacksonville, Florida-Despite 90 hard fought minutes between two in-state HBCU rivals, Edward Waters and Florida Memorial played to a 1-1 draw during their women's soccer match Thursday afternoon at Glover Community Field & Stadium.
Florida Memorial (2-0-2) outshot Edward Waters (2-0-1) in the match 13-9 with each team putting five shots on goal. The visitors from South Florida got on the scoreboard first in the 25th minute to take a 1-0 lead that they would maintain into the halftime break.
