Daytona Beach, Florida-For the second consecutive year, the Edward Waters competitive cheerleading program has qualified for a bid to the National Cheerleaders Association National Cheerleading Championships. The squad earned their spot thanks to their third place finish in the Crowd Segment & Rally Routine in the Co-Ed/Small College Division at the NCA Cheer Camp which was held on July. 29th-31st at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort.
The 2024 edition of the NCA Championships is slated to take place from April 8th-14th at the Daytona Beach Bandshell and Ocean Center. In 2023, more than 10,000 participants and 450 teams competed with approximately 20,000 spectators in attendance, all record numbers for the annual event that relocated to Daytona Beach back in 1996.
