Savannah, Georgia-One season removed from clinching their first Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championship and in their first full season of competing as a member of the SIAC, the Edward Waters women's volleyball squad made history at the conclusion of their match against Savannah State at Tiger Arena. Their 3-0 sweep of SSU clinched the program's first SIAC East Division Championship.

Edward Waters (23-9, 16-2 SIAC) rode the dominant offensive showing of senior Audrianna Jones and freshman Fatima Ramirez who each turned in double digit kills with 17 apiece. Ramirez added another double-double to her season tally, adding 15 digs to her statline on the night. Saniya Spalding finished her night with a solid offensive effort, contributing eight kills to the Lady Tiger efforts. Mataiya Barber continues to make a solid case for SIAC Setter of the Year, dishing out 39 total assists, another match high. Andrea Diaz Merced dominated defensively with 19 digs, with Kaylin Guillory adding 11.

The Lady Tigers will close out the SIAC regular season on Thursday evening in Fort Valley, Georgia in a conference match against Fort Valley State at 6:00pm
