LAST TIME OUT: Edward Waters took a one on the chin last Saturday as the Tigers fell 45-7 to North Carolina A&T last Saturday in Greensboro. The Tigers could not get any continuity going offensively, only posting 118 yards of total offense in the game and allowed four sacks to the Aggies. Senior QB
Jyron Russell started the contest for the Tigers, playing all of the first half and going 4-of-9 for 45 yards, one interception, and was sacked twice. Graduate QB
David Johnson played the second half, finishing 3-of-6 passing for 11 yards and a touchdown. EWU was able to get two turnovers from the Aggies last week with fumble recoveries from Senior LB
Cameron McClain.
SO FAR: The Tigers sit 11th in scoring offense (9.7 ppg), 4th in scoring defense (12.3), 9th in total offense (315.0 ypg) & 12th in total defense (390.2 ypg) in the SIAC. EWU is the SIAC's 6th rushing offense (164.7 ypg), 10th rushing defense (169.3 ypg), 9th passing offense (150.3 ypg), and 10th passing defense (220.8 ypg). Edward Waters still ranks second in the conference in interceptions with seven total picks this season.

De'Shaun Hugee is 10th in the league in rushing, averaging 54.3 ypg and 9th in total touchdowns with four trips to the endzone this season. Junior LB Widmyer Garcon is seventh in the league in tackles with 42 and averages 7.0 per game, while senior DB

ABOUT THE MARAUDERS: Central State enters Saturday's contest with a 2-5 overall record and are 1-3 in the SIAC West. CSU lost an offensive shootout last Saturday at Tuskegee, 49-34. The Marauders had 712 yards of total offense in the game with 501 coming through the air. CSU is 4th in the SIAC in scoring offense (26.4 ppg), 13th in scoring defense (31.6 ypg), 3rd in total offense (369.9 ypg), and 8th in total defense (378.1 ypg). They are 13th in rushing offense (70.4 ypg) and in rushing defense (190.1 ypg). CSU does boast the #1 passing offensive in the conference (299.4 ypg), and are 5th in passing defense (188.0 ypg)
MARAUDER LEADERS: CSU has a two QB attack with Freshman QB Brandon Kyles leading the way with 299.0 ypg (2nd in the SIAC) and Freshman Kendall Boney who is 6th in the league, averaging 169.2 ypg. Freshman WR Brandon Brock is 3rd in the SIAC in receptions per game averaging 5.1, while fellow freshman Micah Lowe is 5th at 4.9 catches per game. Freshman WR Twon Hines is 3rd in receiving yards, averaging 82.7 ypg.
LEADER OF THE SHIP: SIAC veteran head coach Kevin Porter is in his first season in Wilberforce. Porter spent four seasons as the head coach at Fort Valley State from 2016-2019 and accumulated an 18-23 record over those four seasons. Porter led FVSU to a conference championship in his first season at the helm of the program in 2016.
