Bermuda Run, North Carolina-For the first time this season, the Edward Waters women's soccer squad has strung together back-to-back victories. The Lady Tigers defeated NAIA Bluefield University, 3-0 in a neutral site match on Wednesday afternoon at Truist Park.
Edward Waters (3-7-1) peppered Bluefield (0-13) with a season high 43 total shots with 24 of them on goal. The Lady Tigers opened the scoring in the first half as
Kendall Burney was found on the opposite end of a
Claudia Mate corner kick in the 14th minute, giving EWU a 1-0 lead. The Lady Tigers doubled their advantage just before halftime in the 43rd minute on the strength of a goal from
Ellie Shurman. The final blow was struck in the 54th minute, when
Sophia Paffrath found the back of the net to give EWU a commanding 3-0 lead that stood up, giving the Lady Tigers their second consecutive shutout victory,

Sheila Pascual claimed her second straight clean sheet by turning away five Rams shots in the match.
The Lady Tigers will remain in "The Old North State" as they will face Carolina University on Friday afternoon at 3:00pm.
