Deavian Pitt is a higher education and athletics administrator with experience in NCAA compliance, student-athlete development, and athletic operations.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Pitt began her collegiate journey at Coastal Alabama Community College, where she competed on the women's basketball team while earning an Associate of Science degree in Business. She later transferred to Paine College, where she continued her athletic career as a dual-sport student-athlete in women's basketball and volleyball. During her time at Paine, Pitt distinguished herself academically, graduating as the institution's Valedictorian and earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
Pitt continued her education at Western Illinois University, earning a Master of Science in Sport Management in 2026. While pursuing her graduate degree, she served as a Compliance Graduate Assistant within the athletics department, supporting NCAA and conference compliance operations, student-athlete eligibility, rules education, and institutional compliance initiatives.
On June 15, 2026, Pitt joined Edward Waters University as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. In her role, she oversees compliance programs that promote institutional control and adherence to NCAA legislation while supporting the academic and athletic success of student-athletes. Her responsibilities include eligibility certification, recruiting and transfer compliance, financial aid monitoring, rules education, and the implementation of policies and procedures that strengthen institutional accountability.
A former multi-sport collegiate student-athlete, Pitt brings a unique perspective to athletics administration through her firsthand understanding of the student-athlete experience. She remains committed to fostering a culture of compliance, academic excellence, and student-athlete success while advancing the mission of intercollegiate athletics.
