Todd Triplett, M.Ed., comes to Edward Waters College as an experienced professional whose passion and expertise for the game of basketball remains unparalleled.  His interests in the game began very early in his life, and since then, basketball has remained an essential part of his professional persona. 

Following a storied high school basketball career at Atlanta’s Redan Senior High, Triplett matriculated at Morris Brown College (Atlanta, Ga.) where he was accomplished on the men’s basketball team, to ultimately earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Charter Oak State College (Hartford, CT).  Triplett’s eight-year stint in Europe continued his commitment to excellence and included playing in Reykjavik, Iceland and serving as head coach in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.  In addition, Triplett provided volunteer coaching services at Bethune Cookman University and served as Assistant Men’s Coach at Brevard Community College.  Later, Triplett relied on his passion to establish and coach in the resurgence of the famed American Basketball Association (ABA) with the Orlando Aces.  During his professional career, Triplett has hosted numerous NBA-sanctioned exposure camps, and served as Head Coach at the NBA-sanctioned Global Hoop Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada.  In the midst of professional pursuits, Triplett earned a Master of Education in Instructional Technology (M.Ed.) from InterContinental University.

Triplett continued his career goal to coach at the collegiate level at Clark Atlanta University in 2014, where he served as Associate Head Men’s Basketball and Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Through this role, Triplett expanded his coaching expertise to include strength training, athletic conditioning, injury prevention and rehabilitation. 

The father of three loving daughters: Isis, 17, Mesi, 15 and Paris 11, and a committed member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Triplett fuses all the best of his skills and demonstrated leadership to serve as an asset to coaching, basketball operations, and matriculation of student-athletes on and off the court.
