Edward Waters University

Rey Otero played at Sandalwood HS from 2005 to 2008.  Transferred on his senior year to Arlington County Day in 2008 where he won a District championship.  Upon his graduation, Otero received a baseball scholarship to Cowley County College (KS) #6 JUCO in the nation, he attended from 2009 to 2011 where he won a conference title as the catcher.  

In 2011, He received a scholarship to Edward Waters College where he was a standout catcher for the Tigers.  After earning his degree at EWC, Otero signed a professional baseball contract with the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League (2014).  He has also played professionally for the Laredo Lemurs of the American Association (2015) and the Sussex County Miners of the Can-Am League (2015).  

After his playing career, Rey Otero came back to EWC for the 2016-2017 season as an assistant coach working primarily with the Tigers defense.
