Christopher T. Brown was reared and educated in Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended Mandarin High School. Brown is a distinguished Mustang Alumni, holding the school’s all-time reception record for a ninety (90) reception career. He was a four year Lettermen and a Rival’s Top 100 Player in Florida, as a senior. Brown signed with Alabama A & M University out of High School and later transferred to Lambuth University where he led his team in receptions and reception yards. He Graduated in May 2006 with a degree in Health and Human Performance. He served one year coaching Wide Receivers at Lambuth University.
Brown returned to Jacksonville to teach and coach at his alma maters, both Mandarin Middle and High Schools respectively. He was the high school’s team’s Defensive Back (DB) coach in his first season where his defensive backs led their district and conference in interceptions, interception return yards, and blocked passes. Under his tutelage three of his DB's; Harold Howell, Jarrell Smith, Charlton Sinclair signed Division 1 scholarships. In his second season with the Mustangs Coach Brown became the Offensive Coordinator. He also was the Head Track Coach, as well as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Mandarin Middle School.
Brown has successfully completed his sixth season as the A-Backs Coach and Junior Varsity Head Football Coach at Edward Waters College (EWC) where he has quickly moved up the ranks. His responsibilities have grown larger over his six year tenure at EWC. In his first year at Edward Waters College, Brown Coached a good group of safeties, by the end of the season, one of his safeties; Nadens Madeus received All American honors on the football field as a senior. The next season Brown took on the responsibilities of assisting in recruiting, monitoring class attendance, and scholastic progress for player eligibility. During that same year Brown watched three out of his five safeties received bachelor degrees from Edward Waters College. Lastly, in his third season Brown received the title of Recruiting Coordinator.
Brown received his first head coaching post in 2017 when he took over as the head coach at North Florida Educational Institute (NFEI) in Jacksonville, where he led the Eagles to a 1-9 record in his lone season.
Brown returned to Edward Waters in 2018 under head coach Greg Ruffin where he serves as the cornerbacks coach. He also is a professor in the Education Department at Edward Waters.
In addition to his Bachelor's Degree from Lambuth, Brown earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from Concordia University of Portland, Oregon.
