Cheerleading head coach La’Juanie Carter was born on October 3, 1991 in Pahokee, Florida. The daughter of Lashonda Carter and Frank Williams III. Raised in a working class neighborhood, Carter developed a reputation for her creativity in cheer and dance choreography. At just the age of 10, Carter choreographed the team’s competition routine winning second place for the first time in the recreations history for cheerleading. Carter went on to cheer during her 11th and 12th grade year at Pahokee High School; serving as one of two captains. Inspired by her excelling peers American football cornerback Janoris Jenkins, American football cornerback Bill Bentley, as well as scholarly classmates.

Carter was encouraged to further her education as well as her craft. In the year of 2010 Carter graduated from Pahokee High School and went on to cheer for Edwards Water College. While attending Edward Waters College, Carter joined Zeta Phi Beta sorority incorporated choreographing and winning two consecutive years in the Homecoming Coming Step show. Carter’s coaching career began at Lake Forest Elementary school in 2012 where the team placed 2nd two of her three years coaching.

After receiving a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Edward Waters College spring of 2015 Carter was offered and accepted the assistant coaching position alongside head coach Mrs. Smith. In 2016 by age 25 Carter was offered and accepted the head coaching position at her Alma Mater. Carter is also a Targeted Case Manager and Life Coach counseling and mentoring youth with severe mental and behavioral health issues.
