TUSKEGEE, Ala. — The Edward Waters University women's soccer team continued its strong start to the 2026 season on Saturday afternoon, using a dominant offensive performance to earn a 5-2 road victory over Tuskegee University at Alumni Stadium.
The win improved the Lady Tigers to 2-0 on the season, led by a pair of two-goal performances from juniors Rose-Bertude Rosinvil and Dadie Cherenfant. Senior Lara Viehrig also found the back of the net for her first goal of the 2026 campaign.
Edward Waters wasted little time taking control of the match as Rosinvil opened the scoring in the 12th minute off an assist from Ramiyah Clay. The Lady Tigers continued to apply pressure throughout the opening half and added to their advantage in the 42nd minute when Cherenfant scored to give EWU another key offensive boost. Rosinvil was credited with the assist on Cherenfant's first goal of the afternoon.
The Lady Tigers' offense remained in full attack mode following halftime.
Rosinvil recorded her second goal of the match in the 52nd minute, finishing an opportunity created by Viehrig. Just two minutes later, Cherenfant added her second goal of the afternoon in the 54th minute as Edward Waters continued to pull away.
Viehrig capped the Lady Tigers' five-goal performance by scoring her first goal of the season off an assist from Woniya Sandoval.
The Lady Tigers controlled the action from start to finish, outshooting Tuskegee 23-6 for the match while placing 11 shots on goal.
With the victory, Edward Waters remains unbeaten through its first two matches and will now look to carry that momentum into the final contest of its road trip.
The Lady Tigers will return to action on Sunday, August 30, when they travel to Montgomery, Alabama, to take on Auburn-Montgomery at the AUM Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST.
