Jacksonville, FL., -- The Edward Waters men's volleyball team fell to the visiting Fort Valley State Wildcats on Senior Day, April 12 inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex.
Before the match started, the teams took time to recognize the contributions of both seniors on the Tigers Volleyball squad:
Sean Chase and
Oneil Daley.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, they found themselves on the losing end of a 3-0 victory at the hands of the first place Wildcats.
The loss dropped EWU to 10-2 in SIAC play and 11-13 overall on the season.
Junior captain Richard Hendrick turned in an impressive performance notching 14 kills, eight digs, three assists and one ace. Senior
Oneil Daley finished with 22 assists, two digs, and a block in his last game in front of Tiger Nation.
The Tigers will now turn their focus to the SIAC Men's Volleyball Tournament in Fort Valley, GA at the HPE Complex. The Tigers will enter the tourney as a #2 seed and will play the winner of #3 Central State and #6 LeMoyne-Owen on Tuesday, April 15 at 3:30 p.m.
