Atlanta, GA., -- The Edward Water men's basketball team dropped their road meeting against the Clark Atlanta Panthers, 83-75 Saturday night inside the L.S. Epps Gym.

The loss with just the second for the Tigers  through their last six games. The Tigers are still in second place in the SIAC East Division with a 16-8 overall record with a 12-5 mark in SIAC action.

The Tigers battled throughout the game, keeping the score close with a key performance from junior guard Prince Davies, III. The Atlanta native dropped a season-high 30 points on 8-for-11 shooting including knocking down four of his five foul shots. Davies added five rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes of action. He also sunk 10 of his 11 foul shots.

Amari Floyd filled up the stat sheet pouring in 15 points, four steals, three rebounds and two block across a game-high 38 minutes on the floor. Floyd shot 6-for-12 while making two threes and one free throw.  Jaelen Nelson also added 15 points on 6-for-12 with three three-pointers.

Despite the loss, the Tigers showcased their resilience and will look to bounce back in their next matchup against Morehouse College on Tuesday, February 18 at 7:00pm at Frank L. Forbes Arena in Atlanta.
