Jacksonville, FL., — The Edward Waters women's volleyball team will head to Temple Terrace for a tri match battle against Keiser University and Florida College on Saturday, September 28 inside Conn Gymnasium. The Lady Tigers will open play against the Keiser Seahawks before concluding their doubleheader with a match up against the Florida College Lady Falcons. 

The Lady Tigers are led by senior Naomy Vergez who ranks third in the SIAC with 97 kills and 111.5 total points. Vergez, who was named Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week earlier this month, has recorded three double-doubles this season as well as 11 aces and 70 digs. 

Junior Alexis Simpson currently ranks ninth in the conference with her team-lead 12 aces. Simpson has compiled 65 kills and 72 digs so far this season. Damia Ellis has recorded 81 assists in only four matches played this season. Malena Catala leads the Lady Tigers 103 total assists. Freshman Ajiyah Jackson leads EWU with 17 total blocks. 

WEEKEND OPPONENTS
The Keiser Seahawks enters the match up with an 18-5 overall mark on the season. Mackenzie Pryor leads the Seahawks with 398 total kills. She has also recorded 206 digs, 26 assists and 20 aces. Frederica Silva has added 164 kills with 162 digs, 34 aces and 20 assists. Defensively, Faith Marquis leads KU with 400 total digs. 

The Florida College Lady Falcons comes into the weekend with a 8-6 record on the season. Raquel Teixeira leads the squad with 163 kills and 185 digs. Carolina Ramalheira had chipped in 128 kills, 100 digs and 14 assists. Addeson Coffey has chipped in 169 digs, good for 2nd on the team.
