Jacksonville, FL – The Edward Waters women's volleyball team will load up and hit the road for the Union Bulldogs Volleyball Classic this weekend. The Lady Tigers will play four games in two days as they look to capture their first victory of the season.

EWU will have a doubleheader against a pair of Arkansas institutions as they will take the floor against Southern Arkansas in the morning match before wrapping up the afternoon with a game against University of Arkansas-Monticello.

The Lady Tigers will then face their third Arkansas based program in Ouachita Baptist during the morning portion of the Saturday doubleheader before wrapping up the tournament against host school Union University.

Although Edward Waters didn't pick up a win during their three-game slate during the Barry University Invitational last weekend, they had a very great showing from both their veteran and underclassmen players.

Senior Naomy Vergez is tied for the team lead with 13 kills to go along with 13 digs and two assists. Freshman Taylor Kennedy has also tallied 13 kills in the season so far with two blocks. Malena Catala leads EWU with four service aces, 24 total assists and 16 digs.
